TAPANDGIVE – An Electronic Donation System

When I built this prototype I had not found anyone else which such an idea. An ATM type machine that doesn’t give money, but takes. Of course taking for good causes. ‘At the point of experience’ I liked to say, at bike paths, at galleries, at pop-up crowd funding events… The idea was to rid the archaic way of donating, with coins and such and get people used to the idea of tapping their cards everywhere, nurturing that giving instinct we all have.
By the time my daughter and I got to pitch stage with company called stripe, we started realising a trial machine of a Similar sort was happening at the Royal North Shore Hospital… I’m not sure what’s come of that, but I still have my prototype standing proud at home.
